“Chiang Mai Celadon” is a pottery product made of a qualified clay only found in Chiang Mai, the northern of Thailand. Technically, “Chiang Mai Celadon” product is made of a black clay embodied in varied design and decorated with a natural ashes liquid, then burnt at the highest temperature in an atmosphere of an incomplete combustion method which perfectly creates a beautiful crack on each product.
On August 31th 2010, “Chiang Mai Celadon” is also registered as the Geographical Indication with the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand. By this, it means that “Chiang Mai Celadon” enable to indicate the location where the product is made from. More specifically, it must be made only in Chiang Mai---in Sankamphaeng area
